Dryden Signature Trails

The Dryden Signature Trail, part of the Trans Canada Trail in Dryden, Ontario, benefited from a successful RFP bid for environmental graphic design expertise. Collaborating closely with City of Dryden staff, the City of Dryden Working Circle, and the Dryden Trailblazer Tourism Association (DTTA), the project focused on creating interpretive wayfinding and trailhead signage along the trail. Services provided included high-level concept planning; research, copywriting, and content development; photograph preparation, illustration procurement; translation and integration of Indigenous language; interpretive panel design and fabrication; and coordination of exhibit manufacturing and installation. This project was delivered in partnership with Signex Manufacturing, HTFC Planning and Design and Totem Doodem. 2024

The lively interpretive panel topics and illustrations were shaped with input from the Dryden Working Circle, established to strengthen the relationship between the City of Dryden and Indigenous and Métis residents.

The trailhead signs' colour palette draws from the City of Dryden Brand Style Guide, incorporating both the standard and Indigenous versions of the logo.
